Step 1 - Download Defender Control
- Open your browser.
- Go to the official Sordum page:
https://www.sordum.org/9480/defender-control-v2-1/ - Download Defender Control v2.1.
The file will usually download as a ZIP folder.
Step 2 - Extract The Tool
- Right-click the downloaded ZIP file.
- Select Extract All.
- If prompted for a password, enter “sordum”.
- Open the extracted folder.
Step 3 - Run Defender Control
- Inside the folder, locate dControl.exe.
- Right-click it.
- Select Run as Administrator.
Step 4 - Disable Windows Defender
- Open Defender Control.
- Click Disable Windows Defender.
- Wait a few seconds for the status to update.
- Green = Enabled
- Red = Disabled
Step 5 - Confirm It Is Disabled
- Open Windows Security.
- Verify that Real-time Protection is OFF.
- Confirm Defender remains disabled.
Step 6 - Restart Your Computer
- Close all applications.
- Restart your PC.
